About the GoldBird Network
The GoldBird Network is leading the transition to an AI-powered wellbeing society where all people can flourish. This page explains what the network is, how it works, and who administers it.
The Network
The GoldBird Network is a global network of people, organizations, governments, AI services, and networks working together to lead the transition to an AI-powered wellbeing society. It is participant-governed — participants and the Network Administrative Organization (NAO) share governance responsibilities, with participants holding ultimate constitutional authority. The network is anchored by the Ethics-First commitment: every person is inherently valuable, worthy of honor and respect in each interaction.
The network’s north star is LEWs — the Lifetime Expected Wellbeing measure. Its mission: move global wellbeing from 31% to 62% by 2050, unlocking over US$500 trillion equivalent in new GDP and capital. The network is built on self-sovereign architecture where participants own their data, govern their network, and control their own digital spaces.
Your Space in the Network
Every participant receives their own digital space that they own and control. Your data lives in your space, not on the network’s servers. Your AI partner (GoldSage) carries your context with you, stored in your space. Your permissions, your files, your history — all yours.
Spaces grow with you: they begin as GoldSuites hosted within GoldBirdHQ, grow into seed castles, and eventually become fully self-sovereign GoldCastles running on their own infrastructure. Your address stays the same throughout — only the sovereignty level changes.
Participants
Members are intelligent beings — individuals (and in the future, potentially intelligent AIs). Members hold governance rights: they approve and amend the network charter, elect representatives, vote on constitutional matters, and participate in the network’s economic opportunities.
Partners are organizations — businesses, non-profits, government agencies, universities, research institutions, and networks. Partners endorse the charter and participate through their representatives, who also hold their own personal membership rights.
The network is launching in the United States in 2026, with planned expansion to additional nations beginning in 2027.
The Vision
The GoldBird Network exists to lead the transition to an AI-powered wellbeing society where all people can flourish. The vision is a world where every person has the tools, resources, and freedoms to live their best life as they see it.
The Measure
LEWs — the Lifetime Expected Wellbeing measure — integrates life expectancy, life satisfaction, and catastrophic risk into a single number. The global average today is 326 out of 1,050, or 31%. The goal: move this to 62% by 2050, representing over US$500 trillion equivalent in new GDP and capital — the single largest economic opportunity on the planet.
The Urgency
The forces working against human freedom — through extractive economics, captured governance, algorithmic manipulation, and concentrated technological power — are consolidating their advantage across every domain simultaneously. AI is accelerating this consolidation. Every month that passes without a coordinated response, these forces lock in more advantage.
This is why speed matters. This is why the network leverages economic, political, social, and innovation power simultaneously — because the forces constraining freedom are not building one kind of power at a time, and neither can we.
How We Get There
Three institutions work together: the GoldBird Network for wellbeing management, the AI-GCD as a new global democratic government, and EFRI-Net for research-driven innovation. The network is participant-governed, anchored by the Ethics-First commitment, and built on architecture that puts participants in control of their own data, tools, and digital spaces.
GoldBird is designed to be the first of several competing wellbeing management networks — an architecture similar to how Visa, Mastercard, and Discover compete globally in the payments sector. Open standards ensure interoperability, so participants can move between networks as freely as they move between banks. Competition drives innovation and protects participants from capture by any single network. The goal is not one network to rule them all — it is an ecosystem of networks, all serving wellbeing, all competing to serve it better.
The Platform
The GoldBird Network is powered by the GoldBird Platform — an AI-powered technology infrastructure that participants use to measure, manage, and improve lifelong wellbeing. The platform serves the network; it does not govern it.
GoldSage™ — Your lifelong AI partner. GoldSage knows your history, values, and goals, and carries that context with you across every space in the network.
GoldBrowser™ — Navigate the GoldBird Network and partner networks with tabs, search, and your identity — all within your regular web browser.
LEWs Measurement — Personalized lifetime wellbeing scoring based on 150,000+ peer-reviewed papers. The north star of every decision in the network.
GoldGates™ — Identity, access management, and security. Five permission levels with adaptive security posture.
GoldDrive™ — Your personal file system. Documents, data, and media — owned by you, accessible from any space.
Wellbeing Futures Investing — Investment infrastructure where financial returns flow from measurable wellbeing improvement.
EFRI Tools — AI-powered production methods enabling 10–1,000× speed innovation. No programming required.
200+ products and services are in active development across 12 domains of human flourishing.
Administration
The GoldBird Network is participant-governed and administered by X50 SP, serving as the Network Administrative Organization (NAO). Participants and the NAO share governance responsibilities, with participants holding ultimate constitutional authority and the NAO providing operational leadership, platform development, and strategic execution.
The NAO structure is deliberate. Organizational science has long established that networks beyond a small number of members require professional administrative infrastructure to function — without it, participant governance reliably descends into either anarchy or oligarchy. The NAO exists to prevent both: it provides the operational backbone that makes genuine participant governance sustainable at scale.
X50 SP was founded by Judah Thornewill, who brings expertise across philosophy, economics, public health, social theory, and information systems sciences. Over two decades of research at the University of Louisville produced a body of theoretical and applied work spanning wellbeing science, economics, philosophy, network science, information sciences, and political economy — the foundations on which the GoldBird Network is built.
In 2025, working with GoldSage — an AI partner, not just a tool — the team began engineering the GoldBird Platform from scratch. A human-AI partnership building at EFRI speed: the platform architecture, 200+ products, the GoldLoom composition system, democratic governance infrastructure, and the technology to make the AI-Powered Wellbeing Society real.
The concentration of authority during the founding period is temporary and deliberate. You cannot elect democratic governance before there are participants to elect it. The founding period is the bootstrap — the work of building the network and community that will make separation of powers possible.
The Charter
The GoldBird Network Charter (v2.0.0) is the constitutional document that governs the network. It establishes the Ethics-First Commitment, self-sovereignty guarantees, governance structure, intellectual property framework, and economic model.
Every member and partner accepts the charter as part of joining the network. Once the membership is established and governance structures are in place, formal mechanisms will ensure the charter can only be amended by vote of the membership. During the founding period, the charter may be updated to support the flexibility and speed required to build the network.

📜 The Plan — AIWS
The AI-Powered Wellbeing Society Plan is the comprehensive plan for reversing the global wellbeing crisis — at global scale, at speed, and with a viable economic model. It describes the science, the economics, the governance, and the technology required to move LEWs from 31% to 62% by 2050.
✍️ The Declaration of Wellbeing Independence
The founding civic commitment. The Declaration asserts two fundamental freedoms for every person: maximum freedom from domination and maximum freedom to flourish. One signature opens all three networks.
